Tigran Abrahamyan’s Question to Nikol Pashinyan on Decision to Replace Minister of Defense
1 / 2

During the Q&A, the member of the NA With Honor Faction Tigran Abrahamyan asked the RA Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan a question on the decision to replace the Minister of Defense, as well as on the events on the Armenian-Azerbaijani border. “Who gave the order to shoot or who did not give the order to shoot?” the deputy asked.

The RA Prime Minister has noted that a Minister is appointed in this case according to our structure, at the discretion of the Prime Minister and is dismissed at the discretion of the Prime Minster.

“It is important for me that the representatives of both the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Defense are from our political team,” Nikol Pashinyan said.

According to the Prime Minster, it is not possible to give an order not to shoot related to the protection of the RA borders or not to protect the border, it will be a state betrayal.

Nikol Pashinyan has also spoken about the question related to the captives, stating that it is time to properly investigate each case of captivity. The Prime Minister has added that the military regulations clearly define in which case captivity is not considered a crime.
